The Girls on the Run 5k Run is a public 5k that is open to all runners in the WNY community. It is a family friendly, community event that strives to share the tools and inspiration for healthy living and self-confidence from the Girls on the Run programs with our running community. All girls who are participating in the program will participate in the race. They will each be paired with a buddy runner who is a parent or volunteer that runs and encourages them along the way. We welcome all community runners to the race. The Girls on the Run participants will all receive a finishing medal and will not be included in the age-category awards.
